Walking along to get my usual toastie and coffee for lunch (🥱) when I say fuck it, the Ferry road Tavern is callin my name. Greeted by a chook and an affordable price I was sold. Patrons were friendly, one bloke downing his 3rd pint on his lunch break assured me the parmi wouldn’t take more than 15 mins… Low and behold it’s done in 10! But this was no frozen reheat… it was not love at first sight but the parmi was hot, crispy, real chicken with a stock standard sauce, HAM and cheese. Chips were MINT but low in supply. The salad has the usual tomato CHUNK but the dressing was almost the star of the “dish” - the sound of a heard of tradies delivering punch lines followed by a communal “BAAHH” was a nice touch. Very satisfied and proper value. Would fuck again next lunch.
