Skinny Dog Hotel

Parma night at the Skinny Dog Hotel. This Mexican special was $28 including a pot. Chips were really good, incredible seasoning. Coleslaw however was pretty bad, flavourless and dry. The Parma itself was pretty big and I enjoyed the Mexican toppings. Unfortunately the chicken was quite dry.

Quite a tricky one to rate here…I’ll start with some positives: the size was obviously great, a nice big thick juicy bit of chicken and very well crumbed. The Napoli sauce was full of flavour and the ham was okay too….now certainly some room for improvement here. If I’m paying $32 I want everything to be top tier, not just the parmi. The chips were far and few, quite burnt and under salted, the salad lacked so much luster, it just seemed to be poured straight out of a packet with no love and the actual parmi itself was on the cold side. I wouldn’t be so critical if the price wasn’t so high but anything over $30 needs to be perfect. A great atmosphere but unfortunately missed a few of the marks. Thanks for reading :)
