Relatively impressed with the parmi. Cheese slightly more brown than I like. Salad has an almost ‘potato salad’ type of dressing which threw me off.
Well well well, we meet again Moonah Hotel. How can I refuse your $22 parmi + alcoholic drink combo on a Wednesday? You have me whipped and I can’t even deny it. The chips are always the perfect ratio of gold and saltiness. The salad always has a lovely array of flavours with a nice touch of fresh cucumber. The parmi itself is real and honest with ham as a bonus. If you haven’t gotten around Wednesday Parmis at MH, i recommend you do, like yesterday. Maybe it’s the free additional cider that has me feeling so passionate and tiddly about this place. I can’t deny my feelings for this deal. Thank you.
Always slaps (especially on a scorcher like today). Chips cooked to perfection as per and the parmi was just delectable. A bit too big?
Cheese could use a bit more of a melt but overall the parmi is pretty standard. Nothing crazy which I can appreciate, just your average pub parmi. Salad was bland with little to no dressing. Chips could have been a bit more crispy and fat but they will suffice.
They weren’t lying when they said ‘Smokey ham’; tasted like it was straight off the barbecue. $2 extra for a salad, well there goes the validation I get from getting a salad with a parmi. Chippies were perfectly salted with the right amount of crisp.
Where can I rate service? 35 minute wait, I expecting this parmi to be the parmi of a lifetime, considering. Expectations were not quite met with the taste of the parmi. The cheese was not as melted as preferred (I like stringy cheese when taking a bite). Size and the salad made this all justifiable. The salad had a lovely Asian dressing throughout it with pickled onion 😚👌🏻maybe go try in 6 months when the service has some organisation implemented.
For 17 bucks, there’s not much more to ask for. Parmi has the classic taste and was decent for size. Chips were the perfect amount of crisp sprinkled with a lovely amount of sea salt. I appreciated the lemon wedge and like the touch of spring onion as garnish in substitute of parsley. Would eat here again. Do I mind that it didn’t come with a salad? Yes because I now feel oily after both the chips and parm. However, as initially mentioned, it was $17. Can’t complain.

There’s not much more you can ask for in a parmi. Chips to salad to parmi ratio & taste was perfect.
