Perfect schnitzel 👌🏼 very decent size, thin, crispy af, juicy, just perfect. Accompanied with a beautifully flavourful napoli sauce and good cheese coverage. But $34 and no ham!? Wtf!? Wasn’t a massive fan of the chips, could definitely be more crispy and salty, the side salad was pretty standard and simple, didn’t really notice a dressing
Christmas in July menu this weekend. Thankfully a parma was on the menu still sounding pretty traditional but featuring “Christmas ham”. She was an average size, pretty thick and extremely crispy to the point where you needed the gravy to sog it down, luckily the gravy was actually decent. When I think “Christmas ham” I think thick cut borderline ham steak ham but it was two very thin slices raw dogged on the schnitzel. The napoli sauce however, was absolutely beautiful. I dunno what they did but it had a great flavour, just delicious. Chippies were perfect, I wouldn’t change. The salad was pretty simple but instead of the standard tomato and onion they substituted for thinly sliced pear and radish which is something I haven’t seen before.
All around good parma, good thickness, diameter, panko crumbing, good cheese coverage. Almost had like a charcoal flavour but couldn’t work out how. Chippies were the highlight though! Thick, crispy, fluffy, perfect 👌🏼 accompanied by a light creamy aioli. Refreshing side salad with a light dressing featuring some fancy pomegranate seeds, was just missing grated carrot to top it off to full points. Everything on the menu was quite pricey with the parma setting you back $36 plus another $4 for aioli. Also a wide interesting cocktail menu, but were all around $22 #xoxoparmagirl
Finalist on 2026 AHA Victorian Pub Awards Parma of the Year. I opted for just the classic flavour because I was hoping to get the Hass is King topping from their online menu (avo, smokey bacon, red onion, feta and cherry tomatoes) but it wasn’t on the current menu. It was a bigger size than I was expecting, the ends were thin and crispy but the guts were thick and a bit rubbery texture. Didn’t notice any smokey flavour in the ham but it was thin shredded shaved ham which I haven’t had on a parma before. The leprechaun parma topping was veryyyyy nice, smooth cheesy creamy mash toasted made crispy litte edges like a shepherds pie, crispy bacon and a thick gravy. Would definitely get that topping next time but they must change up the flavours often. Chippies were prefect, crispy and salty and balanced with yummy buttered veggies
Finalist on 2025 and 2026 AHA Victorian Pub Awards Bush Pub of the Year. Been here a few times before but probably been around 8 years ago since the last, and it hasn’t changed much, definitely the same inviting vibes like you’re at your mates. I would recommend checking it out even for a bev if cruising through the area. Was expecting the schnitzel to be a bit bigger seeing that they had a cheaper half size option, she was pretty thick and very crispy deep fried fine crumbing but the chicken was still juicy. The ham had a nice smokey flavour, chorizo on the meat lovers had an enjoyable kick but both were lacking on the cheese coverage. Chippies were nothing standout but the aioli was nice and creamy and a great thick gravy with hot veggies. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plus 3 venue stars for under $26 option available, 5+ variety of toppings and acceptable priced wide cocktail menu. #xoxoparmagirl
